Sapa Tourism – Place to go

Sapa will welcome you with its beautiful valleys and towering evergreen mountains overlooking the town from all sides. This enchanting region rich in minority cultures and stunning sceneries that sometimes veiled by mist makes this area even more mysterious.


Sapa is a well known area for hiking and adventure, recommended for all who wish to meet ethnic minorities and discover the deep heart of Vietnam.

Sapa town is the capital district of the same name. It lies 1650 meters above the sea level on a tributary of the Red River (Song Hong), in the border province of Lao Cai to the far north of Vietnam. In early of 20th century the French started to built resort, villas and other sites such as: hydroelectricity system, post office, station… A colonial hill station then there was active for nearly 50 years.

 Ham Rong Mountain
Ham Rong Mountain is a small, 1800 meters mountain of  above the town of Sapa. Its bottom was turned into a public park.


From the main road up hill you will reach to Ham Rong mountain where houses of Rock Garden, Orchid Garden, about10 minutes walk from the entrance and a mini museum where displays objects of some Northwest ethnic minorities. The top offers a panoramic view of Sapa and Fansipan mountain.
