Having an especially impressive setting, overlooking the river banks of beautiful Can Tho River, the Ong Temple is found to be the highlight within the Guangzhou Assembly Hall. Constructed in the final part of the 19th century, this religious landscape is entirely interesting and was built with the aim of being a place where the locals could show their respects to Kuang Kung, the Chinese God of War, who emblems valiancy, honor, loyalty, justice, reason, intelligence, affluence and many other characteristics. While an impressive image of Kuang Kung forming the piece in the center, the other art works describe more Chinese divinities, including the God of Earth, the female deity of Fortune and the God of Finance.
