As Dien Bien is very far from Hanoi (478km) and it is also very hard to go due to its mountainous characteristic, tourists are recommended to get there by coach or airplane even though it is not impossible to get to Dien Bien Province by motorbike. If you want to travel by coach to admire amazing scenery along the way, get to coach stations in Hanoi like My Dinh, Giap Bat, Luong Yen or Gia Lam to catch high quality coaches with beds at a price varying from 350,000 to 400,000 VND.
